Chicken can dry out quickly during the cooking process. This marinade helps, by creating a barrier between your chicken and the heat, keeping it tender and moist.
Yield: Makes about 1 cup of marinade
1 whole chicken
3/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar – white or red
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons white sugar
3 teaspoons Faux-Tisserie Chicken BlenZ*
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour into a zip-lock bag and add the chicken (or cut up portions).
Marinate at least 1 hour or up to 24, refrigerated. Makes enough marinade for 1 whole chicken, 4-6 chicken breasts, 6-8 legs or 12 wings. Makes a great marinade for turkey portions too.
